Project Description
Crypto traders often manage accounts across multiple exchanges, manually replicating strategies on Binance and Bybit — a process that is slow, error-prone, and impossible to scale during volatile market conditions. The client needed a unified platform where users could follow proven traders and automatically mirror their positions across exchanges without missing critical execution windows.
I designed and delivered a cross-exchange copy trading platform that connects to Binance and Bybit APIs and streams live order data through WebSocket connections. When a lead trader executes a trade, the system mirrors it in real time on follower accounts, with configurable risk parameters and exchange-specific handling.
The product dashboard gives users portfolio-level insights: open positions, P&L tracking, trade history, and performance analytics across both exchanges from a single interface. Real-time data pipelines keep the UI synchronized with live market activity, so traders act on current information rather than stale snapshots.
Key technical challenges included synchronizing order state across two exchanges with different API behaviors, handling WebSocket reconnections during network instability, and building a reliable mirroring engine that respects rate limits and account permissions. The architecture separates the trading engine from the analytics layer so the platform can scale as user volume and trade frequency grow.
