Built a three-role hospital management portal connecting Admins, Doctors, and Patients through structured assignment workflows and appointment request management.
Small and mid-size healthcare facilities often rely on phone calls and paper schedules for doctor assignments and patient appointments — leading to scheduling conflicts, missed requests, and poor patient experience. This hospital management system provides a structured digital portal for three distinct user roles: Admin, Doctor, and Patient.
The Admin role is the operational hub. Administrators assign doctors to specific hospitals and treatment specialties — with a constraint of one hospital and one treatment per doctor, ensuring clear accountability. Doctors manage their appointment queue, accepting or rejecting patient requests.
Patients browse available doctors filtered by city, hospital, and treatment type, then submit appointment requests directly through the platform. The signup flow is designed for Doctors and Patients only — the Admin account is provisioned by default.
Technical challenges included modeling the hospital-doctor-treatment relationship constraints, building city-based doctor discovery with multi-filter search, and implementing a request-accept/reject workflow that keeps both doctors and patients informed.
Digitized doctor assignment and appointment request workflows
Improved patient access to doctor discovery by city and specialty
Reduced scheduling ambiguity with structured hospital-treatment assignments
Built a foundation applicable to commercial clinic and hospital management products
