With QuickTopups already processing high-volume transactions through web and banking integrations, the business needed a native mobile experience so users could recharge, pay bills, and redeem vouchers on the go. The mobile app had to match the web platform's full feature set while delivering a smooth, app-store-ready experience on both iOS and Android.
I developed QuickTopups Mobile as a cross-platform React Native application backed by a NestJS API layer. The app brings complete parity with the web platform: mobile recharge, voucher management, bill payments, and transaction history — optimized for mobile UX patterns.
On the backend, NestJS provides a structured, scalable API with clear module boundaries for authentication, payments, vouchers, and transaction history. The architecture mirrors the web platform's payment orchestration while adding mobile-specific concerns such as token-based auth and optimized payload sizes.
Technical challenges included maintaining feature parity across iOS and Android from a single React Native codebase, ensuring secure payment flows on mobile devices, and building a NestJS backend that could serve both the mobile app and existing web infrastructure.
